something new for the sw side

The Collective is a collection of groups dedicated to specific initiatives on the southwest side of Chicago.

Our groups meet monthly to tackle issues like development, crime and placemaking.

If you want to make a difference in your Midway-area neighborhood, but aren't sure where to start...you're in the right place.

A NONPARTISAN & NON-RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION

OUR GROUPS

mission

Build a community among our neighborhoods.

We break down barriers, borders and boundaries in order to build a community for all on the Southwest Side of Chicago.

We connect young families with the things they need, via our Freebies for Families events.

We connect small businesses to each other, and to free resources to level the playing field among an area rife with corporate chains.

We publish all information in dual languages, so no one is left out.

If a wall stands in our way, we'll break it down.

Green Space Project

kisspng-chicago-dr-martens-shoe-boot-gri

1.

We do not and will not tolerate hate speech, race baiting, sexism, ageism or any tactics meant to cause divisiveness among our participants.

3.

This group is nonpartisan and welcomes all...even those who may not agree with your personal beliefs, political views, or religion. We will need to work together regardless of these factors.

2.

We do not and will not allow active political candidates to pitch, solicit or recruit volunteers at our meetings or outings. And we do not endorse them as a group, either. We are a 501c3.

4.

A participant is welcome until they make themselves unwelcome.

[That means, whether in person or on our social media, if your attitude sucks, you'll be asked to leave.]
